Where were you when you accepted your role at Christie Finance?
I was having lunch on a bench in Berkeley Square and mid-bite the call came through. Safe to say, the rest of that sandwich tasted a little sweeter!
What was your first job?
I worked as a pet store assistant. Thought it would be all puppies and cuddles… until I got bitten by a snake. Reality hit fast!
In a couple of sentences, can you tell us a bit about your job at Christie Finance?
I’m a Real Estate Finance Consultant, helping clients secure funding for a wide range of property deals. No two projects are the same and that’s exactly what I love about it.
What’s your favourite thing about Christie Finance?
Even though I’ve only been here a short time, the standout for me has been the people and the reputation of the firm. Internally, the support and drive from the team is unmatched. Externally, the name carries real weight - it’s something to be proud of.
What's a favourite project that you’ve worked on at Christie Finance so far?
I’m currently involved in a few exciting projects, and while none have officially taken the crown yet, each one has brought its own challenges and learnings. Watch this space!
What’s been the biggest challenge of your career so far?
Pushing myself beyond the comfort zone and constantly learning has been both a challenge and a driver. I’ve found that the more I lean in, the more I thrive.
What’s been a highlight of your career so far?
Without sounding too cliché, it has to be joining Christie Finance. It’s a firm with real presence and pedigree and I’m excited about what’s still to come.
How has the industry changed since you started at Christie Finance?
Even in the short time I’ve been here, the market continues to shift. Lending appetite, interest rates, and buyer behaviour are constantly evolving and staying ahead of that curve is part of the challenge and the excitement.
Who in your industry do you feel most inspired by?
I’ve been lucky to work with some incredibly inspiring people - from colleagues to competitors. Many have shaped the way I think and operate. There are a few key mentors (you know who you are!) who’ve made a real impact on my journey.
Tell us a bit about your life outside work – what are your hobbies?
I’m a bit of a foodie and love anything adrenaline related – from extreme sports to spontaneous travel. I’m just as happy cooking something slow on the weekend as I am catching a last-minute flight or watching live sports.
What’s your hometown? Where do you live now?
I’m originally from Durban, South Africa, but now I’ve settled in the green and leafy parts of Surrey, England.
Where’s the best place you’ve been on holiday?
Thailand – hands down. The culture, the food, the people, the pace of life... I could happily go back again and again.
What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Bad manners and people who chew loudly with their mouth open. It physically pains me.
If you could live and work in any city, where would you go?
Somewhere new and unexplored - ideally with sunshine, good food, and a beach within reach.
What would be your desert island meal?
Sushi. All day, every day.
What’s your favourite film?
The Dark Knight Trilogy – can’t pick just one. They’re all iconic in their own way.
What is your favourite movie quote?
“Somebody Stop Me!” – The Mask. Classic Jim Carrey energy.

To see a school of wild orcas. There's something mesmerising and humbling about them whilst being apex predators.

Heights. And yes, I’ve tried to face it… but it still gets me.
What news source do you read every day?
Bloomberg - it keeps me sharp on market trends and global shifts.
What’s your social media platform of choice?
