When did you join Christie Finance?
I joined Christie Finance in March 2024.
Where were you when you accepted your role at Christie Finance?
I was at work and took the call in the hall, my boss walked past mid-conversation!
In a couple of sentences, can you tell us a bit about your job at Christie Finance?
I work in the core team dealing with secured lending requirements. I primarily look at supporting clients in the purchase of businesses and assets.
What’s your favourite thing about Christie Finance?
The work environment and people are the friendliest and most supportive that I’ve come across.
What's a favourite project that you’ve worked on at Christie Finance so far?
Meeting and networking with all areas of the business.
What’s been the biggest challenge of your career so far?
I think the biggest challenge I have faced during my career has to be supporting businesses during the pandemic with widespread uncertainty and unprecedented challenges. It was incredibly interesting to see how various businesses adapted their strategies and came up with new ideas to meet the challenge.
What’s been a highlight of your career so far?
Supporting the establishment of the international subsidiary banking initiative, which created a channel to enable MME businesses to expand to the UK, it brought me into contact with many interesting challenges and business models.
How has the industry changed since you started at Christie Finance?
I feel that there is a lot more competition in the lending market, financiers are constantly adapting to meet the increase in demand across a multitude of sectors.
Tell us a bit about your life outside work – what are your hobbies?
I enjoy watching Rugby & basketball, I am currently ‘attempting’ to learn golf!
Where’s the best place you’ve been on holiday?
Japan, the culture, people and way of life fascinates me, you get an entirely new experience anywhere you go in the country.
If you could live and work in any city, where would you go?
Barcelona.
What would be your desert island meal?
A full English.
What’s your favourite film?
The Longest Yard with Adam Sandler.
What is your favourite movie quote?
“It’s just a flesh Wound!” – The Black Knight, Monty Python.
