Funding secured for sale of long-established Lancashire convenience store

Costcutter School Lane, a well-known convenience store in Leyland, Lancashire, has been sold after 66 years of family ownership. The transaction was handled by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co, with acquisition funding successfully arranged by Christie Finance.

The store had been operated by David and Margaret Brindle for the past 50 years and remained a cornerstone of the local community throughout. Their decision to sell forms part of their retirement plans after a lifetime of dedication to the business.

The purchaser is a seasoned regional operator with a growing portfolio of convenience stores. To support the acquisition and future investment in the site, the buyer worked with Christie Finance to secure tailored funding that enabled a smooth and timely completion.
