Christie Finance completes funding for convenience store in coastal Norfolk village
Christie Finance has successfully funded the acquisition of Walcott Stores & Post Office. a well-established convenience store located in Walcott, Norfolk.


Well-regarded and popular with residents, the store’s offerings include groceries, newspapers and magazines, an off-licence, confectionary and everyday essentials. The store is seen as a key amenity within the community, offering post office services to customers.
Situated on Coast Road in the village of Walcott in North Norfolk, the store benefits from a loyal, local customer base as well as visitors to the village, where the coastal road runs along the edge of the sea, providing great views.
Nigel and Sara Adams, who have owned and operated the store for many years, have decided to hand over the reins to the business as they look forward to retirement.
They said, “It's been a pleasure to play our part in making Walcott a lovely village for locals and a destination for visitors and holiday makers alike. We would like to take the opportunity to thank the many loyal customers we have served over the last few decades.
“Thanks also must go to our staff past and present as, without them, we would not have achieved what we have.
“We wish Antony, Jenny and their team every success in taking the business forward and hope they will be as well supported and happy as we have been.”
The property has been acquired by experienced operators, Antony and Jenny Benedict, who bring with them a wealth of industry knowledge. They plan to continue developing the business, building on the solid foundations and reputation established by the outgoing owners.
They said, “A huge thank you to Nigel and Sara for trusting us with the next chapter of this fantastic family business, we wish them all the best in their retirement.
“We can’t wait to meet our loyal local customers and to build on the strong foundations already in place as we expand the store’s offering.”
