Lodey's Supermarket - Stoke-on-Trent
Lodey’s Supermarket, a Nisa branded local convenience store in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, was purchased by first time buyers with funding successfully secured by Lawrence Roberts, Finance Consultant at Christie Finance.
Recently refit to a high standard, the 2,500 sq. ft convenience store features a range of retail units and a deli counter. The property also provides substantial storage space to the rear of the building and on the first floor. The store is situated in residential area and benefits from consistent trade throughout the day.
New owners and first-time buyers, Saytendra and Deepthi Katneni are experienced retailers, having worked for well-known retailers, such as Burger King, 99 Stores and Shell. The couple have relocated to the area to run the store, with Deepthi operating the store full time with the support of her husband. Once fully immersed within their new roles as owners, the couple plans on extending the opening hours of the store to include a Sunday opening.
Duncan's Store - Cardiff
Experienced retail operator, Nasir Fazal expanded his convenience store portfolio with the purchase of Duncan’s Store and Post Office in Ely, Cardiff. Funding for the purchase was secured by Gary Boyce, Director at Christie Finance.
Duncan’s Store and Post Office is located on a prominent position on Cowbridge Road West, a two-storey property comprising of a post office and retail area, plus two first floor flats above.
Nasir already owns and operates Premier branded West End Stores located less than a mile away from the new store. The store was acquired by him in June 2015 with trade rapidly increasing over the last three years as a result of Nasir’s hard work. Both stores are based in Ely, a district and community in western Cardiff.
C H Brown & Sons - Stechford
C H Brown & Sons, an iconic local convenience store in Stechford, Birmingham was purchased by local operator, M&M Family 3 Ltd, with funding secured by Christie Finance.
Established in 1935, C H Brown has been owned and operated by the Brown family for over four generations, who have built an excellent local reputation throughout the years. Situated on a busy retail parade, the well-established store offers a wide array of products, including chilled and frozen food, tobacco and off licence, as well as PayZone and National Lottery services.
M&M Family 3 Ltd has worked in the convenience sector for several years and operates a convenience store situated a short distance away from C H Brown. They plan to undertake a full refurb of the store and will keep C H Brown as the name of the business, in honour of the family that built up its local reputation.
