Funding secured for sale of Bilsborrow Store & Post Office after 20 years of family ownership

Bilsborrow Convenience Store and Post Office, a well-established community business in Lancashire, has been sold for the first time in two decades. The transaction was brokered by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co, with funding successfully arranged by Christie Finance.

Situated in a densely populated residential area just off the main road through Bilsborrow village, the store is a key part of the local infrastructure. After 20 years of ownership, Mr & Mrs Rimmer made the decision to sell in order to retire.

The buyer, an experienced retail operator, secured commercial funding through Christie Finance to support the acquisition and future development plans. With ambitions to invest in and modernise the store, the buyer will build upon the long-standing community reputation established by the Rimmer family.
