Funding secured for acquisition of ‘Outstanding’ South West London Montessori Nursery
Sheen Montessori Nursery, a highly regarded, Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ preschool in Sheen, South West London, has been acquired by SMART Preschool Education Ltd with funding successfully arranged by Christie Finance.

The freehold nursery, founded in 2011 by Steve McNicol and Fiona Macleod, has grown into a thriving, purpose-built setting caring for up to 60 children. With its spacious, light-filled interiors and direct access to Palewell Common, Sheen Montessori offers a unique early years experience in the heart of London. After over a decade of successful ownership, Steve and Fiona made the decision to sell to focus on retirement and family life.
Following a confidential sale managed by Sophie Willcox at Christie & Co, SMART Preschool Education Ltd (SPEL) acquired the setting as part of its expansion strategy in the premium early years market. The transaction was underpinned by a tailored funding package sourced by Alena Ray at Christie Finance, enabling a swift and seamless completion.
