The business is a freehold rural public house with owner's accommodation and set in 1.63 acres of land. The business is a predominately wet led pub that has a strong local trade and puts on various festivals throughout the year. Looking for a lifestyle change the previous owners of the Fox and Hounds placed the business for sale.
The new owners are Matthew Clarke and his son Thomas, both are first time buyers to the sector looking for their first family business. Supported by Matthews's wife, Gillian, they plan to introduce a food offering and grow the number of events and weddings, with the goal of turning the business into a destination setting.
The family approached Christie Finance to help secure the funding required to assist in purchasing the business. Nicole Jones, Finance Consultant at Christie Finance, searched the lending market to find the most suitable facility.
She said of the deal, "It was wonderful to help the Clarke Family to take over their first pub, with Thomas' background in hospitality and Matthews' team management skills I am certain that they will put this pub on the map. With 40 years expertise in the sector, we can help first time buyers through every step of their journey to find the right funding."
