This four star Grade II Victorian country house is set within 262 acres, offers 148 rooms and attracts a high number of visitors. The Hotel offers an AA rosette award-winning restaurant, 18-hole championship golf course and health club with swimming pool all set in the foothills of the Peak District National Park.

The Hotel was formally part of The Hotel Collection Group portfolio. The new owners were looking for a well-established country hotel to acquire to complement their growing commercial investment property portfolio.

Scott Murcott, Finance Consultant at Christie Finance, secured the funding for the purchase of this iconic hotel.

The new owners have plans to reposition the hotel to challenge competing hotels and enhance its brand profile in the local, national and international, arenas. The existing management team will remain.

Scott comments, "I am delighted to have secured the funding to enable our client to progress with the acquisition of Shrigley Hall. This Hotel was in high demand from bidders but with our help, we were able to provide the commitment of available funding to win the bid and we wish the new owners all the best with their future plans.

The new owners of the hotel added, "We were delighted to work with Christie Finance to help fund the acquisition of Shrigley Hall, Scott was an absolute pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond to ensure we were able to complete the deal. His attitude, commitment and work ethic significantly exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Scott and the service of Christie Finance with whom we have every intention of working with again in the near future. 11/10!”
