Established 22-bedroom B&B in Somerset funded by Christie Finance

Christie Finance supported Mark and Diana Perrett to purchase The Old Rectory, an established B&B in Brean, Somerset. The business was sold due to retirement plans of existing owners, where prior to this it had been owned by Mark’s father and stepmother. The business was sold by our colleagues at Christie & Co.

Mark and Diana will bring a wealth of experience in running The Old Rectory, with Mark spending the last 14 years owning and running an events management company, and Diana working as a Chartered Accountant. Their prior knowledge of the family business, relevant sector experience and superb business skills make them suitably qualified to be the new owners of The Old Rectory.

The B&B will be operated in a similar style as previously, but with a greater focus on improving customer service and an increased food and beverage offering. There are also plans to revamp the company website and establish relationships with local companies with a view to securing additional non-resident trade via the bar and restaurant.
