Pretty Maid Guest House secures good looking funding terms

The Pretty Maid Guest House in Sevenoaks, an award winning luxury B&B, was recently assisted with refinancing through specialist commercial mortgage broker, Christie Finance.

The attractive guest house has been established over 10 years and has undergone significant investment to improve the number of rooms and facilities. These enhancements and excellent service levels have led to a large volume of repeat business and the Guest House winning TripAdvisors ‘Certificate in Excellence’ Award for the last five years in a row.

The current owners, Andy & Sue Carr, were looking to refinance the business to repay the existing mortgage and access some additional funds to finish a programme of scheduled improvements.

They initially approached their bank, which had supplied the mortgage and also handled their business accounts, for the refinancing but were refused due not meeting the banks standard criteria. Chris Field, Director at Christie Finance, stepped in to assist the owners to overcome these barriers and secure the finance required.

Using his sector expertise Chris was able to overcome the initial rejection obstacles and find a lender that would aid the owners in completing the improvements. His support allowed the clients to access a very competitive loan at over 70% Loan to Value and saved them a significant amount of money in interest.
