Christie Finance secures funding to assist with the purchase of Ballathie House Hotel, Perthshire

We are delighted to share the story behind the recent acquisition of the distinguished Ballathie House Hotel, a truly timeless property set within the heart of the Perthshire countryside.

Nestled on an impressive two hundred and thirty-four-acre rural estate along the banks of the River Tay, Ballathie House is a quintessential country retreat – private, elegant, and steeped in character. The estate comprises four principal elements: the main house, a detached twelve-bedroom block featuring the charming two-bedroom Sportsman’s Lodge, and The Riverside, which offers a further sixteen bedrooms, including four suites and two meeting rooms.

The business has been acquired by IMR Hotels Ltd, represented by Mr Ishaan Ganju and Mrs Malini Ganju. The couple are the owners of a long-established and successful travel agency in London and bring with them over twenty-five years of experience in delivering high-end leisure accommodation and luxury travel experiences.

For Mr and Mrs Ganju, this purchase represents a natural evolution – moving from curating luxury travel to owning and managing a distinguished hospitality offering. Their in-depth knowledge of sales, revenue, operations and guest experience will be invaluable as they guide Ballathie House into its next chapter.
