The Bull Hotel - Wrotham
John Mitchell of Christie Finance was delighted to assist Lygia Fontanella-Deadman in purchasing the Bull Hotel in Wrotham.
Since the business changed hands it has continued to thrive, receiving several esteemed awards including a two AA Rosette award for its culinary excellence, as well as being finalists at the Kent Wedding Awards 2017-2018.
The hotels most recent achievement sees owner Lygia Fontanella-Deadman and Breakfast Chef Mary Murray, win series 13 of the hit show ‘Four in a Bed’ on Channel 4.
The show pits four different hotel owners against one another. As part of the show Lygia and Mary travelled to other hotels based in Hull, Wigan and Weymouth. The Bull Hotel was the last to host, with it being the only hotel where a competitor overpaid for the services offered.
The George Hotel - Penrith
Christie Finance worked with experienced operator and successful business owner, Lei Ma to secure competitive fundng for the purchase of the award winning George Hotel in Cumbria.
The George Hotel is an elegant, Grade II listed property constructed in the late 16th Century equipped with 35 en suite bedrooms, a bar and an award winning restaurant.
The business has received several esteemed awards over the years including a ‘Four Star Guest Accommodation award’ presented by Visit England and ranks as number one for ’best value hotel’ in Penrith on TripAdvisor.
A two AA Rosette award has been granted to the hotel’s on-site restaurant; the only eatery to receive this prestigious title in the Penrith area.
Random Hall Hotel - Horsham
The Random Hall Hotel in Slinfold, Horsham was successfully refinanced with the support of specialist commercial finance broker, Christie Finance.
Random Hall Hotel is a long established Grade ll listed property comprising of 14 en suite bedrooms, function rooms, a bar, restaurant and two self-contained owner flats. Owners Kate and Richard Loftus recently bought out a long-standing business partner by attracting new investors Leo & Cornelia Soloman to the business.
Unfortunately, their incumbent lender of some 25+years are no longer supporting the hospitality sector, so a refinance of existing debt was required.
As an established business with good operators behind the business, Christie Finance was able to facilitate a refinance of the existing debt and provide further funds for the planned refurbishment of the hotel.
