The Role

 

The purpose of the role is to assist both existing and new clients to obtain unsecured loans and asset finance in a timely and efficient manner. Building strong relationships with the Christie and Co agents and other finance consultants across the business is key to assisting in generating leads and supporting the needs of our clients. 


Responsibilities

In this role you will:


  • Keep up to date with industry knowledge or changes to enable the identification of appropriate solutions for customers.
  • Source and present facilities to clients
  • Maintain successful working relationships with our funder panel and assist with its development as required
  • Leverage the Christie & Co database of registered business purchasers and existing operators to develop business opportunities
  • Foster working relationships with Christie & Co colleagues to maximise referral opportunities and reciprocal business
  • Have a relationship-led mentality and maintain ongoing contact with prospective clients (both internal and external) to ensure Christie Finance is foremost in their minds for any business finance opportunity and ensure an exceptional client experience.
  • Plan, manage and execute several ongoing assignments at any one time whilst ensuring that tight deadlines are met
  • Operate in line with FCA Guidelines, internal company policies & best practice
  • Maintain professional expertise through course attendance, reading on financial  journals, and further training in line with but not limited to CF CPD requirements.


What we are looking for

The suitable candidate for this role would bring:

  • Experience within the financial services in a sales environment
  • An understanding of SME businesses and their typical finance requirements
  • Experience/ knowledge of unsecured lending and asset finance
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic with a commitment to excellence
  • Proven ability to retain and apply knowledge effectively
  • Driven by continuous growth, development, and achievement
  • Customer-facing experience: understanding customer needs and identifying pain points
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative approach
  • Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Industry awareness (TCF, AML, FCA regulations)
