A hot food takeaway business in Bristol, benefiting from a high student footfall, is sold
The Bristol Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, has sold a Southern Fried Chicken outlet in the centre of Bristol, which benefits from high footfall due to the many resident university students. Independent mortgage brokers, Christie Finance, arranged the funding for the purchase.
The property comprises a ground floor shop area, with a food preparation area and staff facilities to the rear and a two-bedroom flat located on the first floor. The business is currently open seven days a week, with extended opening hours on Friday and Saturday nights. The business operates as a hot food takeaway, selling a range of products, including fried chicken, chips, burgers and kebabs.
Clive Coker, from Christie + Co’s Bristol Office, who handled the sale, commented; “The shop has traded for a number of years in this excellent location, but the vendor, Mr Keman Tarhan, decided to sell after owning the business for six years, so he can pursue other interests. The new owner is Asif Nadeen, from Fishponds in Bristol, a local businessman within the local community, who also owns City-Link Taxis.”
Evan Morgan, from Christie Finance, commented; “Despite
the current market pressures, we arranged a competitive finance
package for the leasehold premises. Christie Finance’s
excellent relationships with established High Street lenders
continue to ensure that the existing economic climate is not a
barrier to providing competitive finance solutions.”
A leasehold asking price of £115,000 was sought for the
business and it was sold for an undisclosed sum.
