An existing care operator acquires a home in Cheshire
A Cheshire care home, which was converted from a former doctor’s surgery 20 years ago, has been sold through the Manchester Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, with independent mortgage brokers, Christie Finance, arranging the funding for the purchase.
Holly Grange is located in Dukinfield, east of Manchester, and is a well maintained home, which has been extended to provide accommodation for up to 27 clients in 23 single and two shared rooms. The home is set within grounds, which potentially offer further scope to expand, subject to the relevant planning permission, with ample car parking to the front.
The care home was registered in approximately 1986 by the vendors and they extended the home approximately 10 years ago. The business trades with the benefit of an Investors in People award and has recently received an excellent CSCI report. The property was sold due to the vendors’ retirement plans and the new purchaser is an existing care operator in the North West.
Holly Grange was sold for an undisclosed sum from an asking price of £1,200,000 for the freehold interest.
