A guest house situated in the historic Scottish village of Killin is sold

The 3 Star Drumfinn Guest House, which is situated in the large village of Killin in Perthshire, which is within Scotland’s first national park, has been sold through the Glasgow Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, with independent mortgage brokers, Christie Finance, arranging the funding for the purchasers.

A well presented guest house, it occupies an excellent elevated corner position along the Main Street and is an instantly recognisable detached stone property built in 1837 for the Union Bank, which was later used by the Bank of Scotland until the 1960s.

The property is presented in good condition, both internally and externally and benefits from a 3 Star accolade from Visit Scotland, with other accolades including Lonely Planet guide, www.tripadvisor.com and the famous French Travel Guide, Le Guide du Routard. The guest house also benefits from its own website; www.drumfinn.co.uk. There are five letting bedrooms; several of which have outstanding views over Killin and the surrounding countryside and mountains, a guest lounge, a breakfast room and two-bedroom owner’s accommodation, with a conservatory, garage, car port and a private rear garden.

Killin is situated within the centre of Scotland and is surrounded by mountains, glens, rivers and lochs and is steeped in Scottish history. In the past it was home to the Clan McNabb, whose burial site is by the famous Falls of Dochart, which is only a short walk from Drumfinn Guest House. It is also within easy walking distance of a good selection of restaurants, pubs, shops, churches and a bank with ATM.
Christie + Co was appointed by Cath and John Goulden to handle the sale of Drumfinn Guest House on an open marketing basis, which attracted a good level of interest and was sold to Phil and Carol Jones from the Isles of Scilly.

Offers in excess of £375,000 were sought for the freehold interest of Drumfinn Guest House and it was sold for an undisclosed sum.
