Substantial day nursery in South Wales is sold from a £1m asking price
Norfolk House Day Nursery in Newport, South Wales, has been sold through the Bristol Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, from a guide price of £1 million, with independent mortgage brokers, Christie Finance providing the funding for the purchasers.
The nursery is registered for 68 children and occupies a substantial detached period property comprising two semi-detached houses, which have been combined to provide the existing accommodation. Located within a pleasant and sought-after predominantly residential area of Newport, the business was established by the vendors in 1989, but they decided to sell so order to retire.
Having introduced the business to the market, Christie + Co received strong interest and a sale was agreed to Mr and Mrs Mianger from Middlesex.

handled the sale, commented: “Christie + Co was pleased with

and we believe this is a reflection of the high demand within South
Wales for good quality day nursery businesses. We are pleased to

business experience and contacts within the child day care industry
and intend using this experience to continue to develop Norfolk
House Day Nursery and improve on the already high standard of child
care that the previous owners provided.”

secure quite an incredible rate in the current market with a
prominent High Street lender. This deal is a fine example of what

The actual sale price was not disclosed.
