Christie Finance helps facilitate private investment sale of the Angel Inn, near Warminster
Christie Finance and Christie + Co are pleased to have assisted Tony and Carol Coates, owner-operators of the Angel Inn in the small village of Upton Scudamore, near Warminster, Wiltshire, with their recent acquisition of the freehold interest in the business.
Mr and Mrs Coates, who have many years’ experience of the hospitality industry, purchased the leasehold interest of the Angel Inn a number of years ago and were recently offered the opportunity to purchase the freehold from the landlord.
The Angel inn is a recently restored, 16th Century coaching inn
with a character bar and restaurant, 10 en suite letting bedrooms
within the main building and adjacent Angel Cottage, and a walled
garden and terrace for al fresco dining.
Evan Morgan of Christie Finance, the independent mortgage broker,
acted on behalf of Mr and Mrs Coates in securing the funding
package for their freehold investment purchase, following a
valuation of the business by his colleague Matthew Williams, a
valuer and associate director from the Valuation Services team of
leading licensed property agents, Christie + Co.
“In arranging the finance for the private investment sale of the Angel Inn, we succeeded in securing an incredibly competitive rate for Mr and Mrs Coates, given the existing market, and overcame numerous challenges to achieve the completion of the deal,” comments Evan Morgan. “Mr and Mrs Coates were a genuine pleasure to work with and I wish them every success in the future.”
