Hartlepool nursing home is sold to a first time buyer from London
The Newcastle Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, has successfully sold Ascot House Nursing Home, close to Hartlepool town centre, to a first time buyer from London. Christie Finance arranged the funding for the purchaser.
The home is situated at the top of Hutton Avenue and comprises a traditionally constructed three-storey building, with a two-storey extension. Registered for 29, there are a total of 25 rooms; 21 single and four double, two inter-connected lounges, a dining room and a walled garden to the rear. The home has a good reputation locally and as a result, achieves high occupancy levels.
Doug Forbes, from Christie + Co’s Newcastle Office, who handled the sale, commented; “The business was sold on behalf of Ilumina Care, a care group based in the North East, who had owned the home for some time. The purchaser is Mr Ariyanayagam Uruthiraneson, who has been looking for a high quality home and had a few disappointments before securing Ascot House. I was delighted to have sold this business for Ilumina Care, who Christie + Co has a good relationship with, and I am also very pleased to have been able to help Mr Uruthiraneson with his first care business.”
Offers in excess of £1,000,000 were sought for the freehold interest of Ascot House Nursing Home and it was sold for an undisclosed sum.
