A care home in a Norfolk coastal resort town is sold to a local experienced operator
An experienced local operator has recently purchased The Vineries Residential Home in the coastal resort of Hemsby, near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, after it was placed on the market for the first time in 25 years.
Leading independent mortgage brokers, Christie Finance, arranged the funding for the purchasers, while the sale was handled by leading business agents, Christie + Co, via its Ipswich Office.
The home occupies a substantial detached property and is registered for 19 residents in 15 single and two twin rooms, as well as having a two-bedroom ‘villa’ for staff and a two-bedroom ‘bungalow’, which has previously been used as owner’s accommodation.
The Vineries had been operated by Mrs Bernouis and had been in her family’s ownership for 25 years, but she decided to sell so she can retire from the healthcare sector. The purchaser is Mrs Shereen Jesudason, who is from Great Yarmouth and is an experienced local operator.

figure in excess of the asking price being achieved. This is the
18th care home in Norfolk that we have sold within the last 12
months.”
An asking price of £850,000 was sought for the freehold
interest of The Vineries Residential Home and it was sold for an
undisclosed sum.
