The Corner Shop in Falmouth is sold, as the owners relocate to Australia
The Exeter Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, is pleased to announce that it has sold The Corner Shop; a profitable retail business on Cornwall’s south coast. Independent mortgage brokers, Christie Finance, arranged the funding for the purchaser.
Occupying a prominent and highly visible position in the busy and vibrant port of Falmouth, the business is situated on Berkeley Vale, which is located adjacent to the town’s main square in the central shopping area and is close to the National Maritime museum. A substantial two-storey property, the sales area which has recently been refurbished in the ‘Premier Store’ format measures approximately 1,000 sq ft, with good size ancillary areas on the ground floor and a well presented three-bedroom self-contained flat above.
Falmouth is a combined holiday resort, fishing port and ship repairing centre, boasting excellent beaches and coast paths. The ongoing transformation of the waterfront will continue to increase the attraction of this thriving town as a centre for tourism and boost the local economy.

This was the second time that we have sold the business over the last 18 months, with the previous owners, Mr and Mrs Reading, selling so they could emigrate to Japan! The new owner is Jazz Brar, a convenience store operator from Wokingham.”
The Corner Shop was sold for an undisclosed sum from an asking price of £49,950 for the leasehold interest.
