Square One restaurant opens in Bishopston, Bristol

The former 2-3-2 Bistro at 232 Gloucester Road, Bishopston, Bristol, has been sold to a local couple, Jonathan and Sharon Amato, who have established Square One restaurant at the premises.

The Bristol office of leading international restaurant agents, Christie + Co, handled the sale on behalf of proprietor Mr M Logue, while their associate company, Christie Finance, arranged the funding for the purchasers, Jon and Sharon Amato from Bristol.

Located in one of the most popular leisure and retail parades in Bristol, Square One is a contemporary, 30-seat licensed restaurant serving quality modern cuisine and an extensive Tapas menu during the evening.  A breakfast and lunch menu is available during the day and the popular brunch menu is served all day on a Saturday. The restaurant also benefits from a heated garden area for 30 diners for 'al fresco' dining with smoking and non smoking areas.

All the food is prepared by the chef/owner Jon Amato with fresh, locally sourced, quality ingredients.  The restaurant prides itself on its varied and regularly changing menu and a wide range of vegetarian meals.

Previous owner, Mr Logue, had owned 2-3-2 Bistro for two successful years and is now focusing on family commitments.

Evan Morgan of Christie Finance comments: “This well located Bristol restaurant can only go from strength to strength under its enthusiastic new owners.  This is a first restaurant purchase for our clients, Mrs and Mrs Amato, who have a family background in catering.  Mr Amato previously worked in the IT industry and is relishing the lifestyle change.

2-3-2 Bistro was sold for an undisclosed figure after Christie + Co sought £55,000 for the leasehold interest.  The current lease runs until July 2015 and the rent is £9,500 per annum.
