A former convenience store in Lowestoft is sold to an experienced retail owner operator
An experienced retail owner operator from Norwich has recently purchased the freehold of the former Smyths Convenience Store, which is located on the main road through a large residential area close to the centre of Lowestoft in Suffolk.
The funding for the purchase was arranged through independent mortgage brokers, Christie Finance, and the sale was handled by leading business agents, Christie + Co.
The property previously traded as a convenience store and newsagent, with a retail area of approximately 600 sq ft, a forecourt area to the front and an outbuilding to the rear. There is also two-bedroom owner’s accommodation provided.
Nicholas Baker, from Christie Finance, commented; “The property was sold as a vacant unit to Mr Nadaragan, who approached Christie Finance because he wasn’t happy with the way his existing bankers were processing the case. We secured finance for the purchase in two hours and subsequently led our client to completion in just 12 days!”
Smyths Convenience Store was sold for an undisclosed sum from an asking price of £99,950.
