An established convenience store in a Norfolk village changes hands
The Londis Store, an established convenience store situated in an unopposed location in Coltishall, near Norwich in Norfolk, has been sold after approximately 15 years in the same ownership to a couple, who own the petrol station situated opposite.
The funding for the purchase was arranged through independent mortgage brokers, Christie Finance, and the sale was handled by leading business agents, Christie + Co, via the Ipswich Office.
Situated at the triangular junction of converging main roads, the store occupies a detached single-storey property, which is predominantly open plan with an advised floor area of approximately 1,200 sq ft, a storage area and staff facilities to the rear. The business is equipped for the sale of convenience goods, fresh and frozen food, dairy produce, confectionary, off licence, cigarettes, greetings cards and stationary, as well as having a bake-off area, an ATM machine and is a National Lottery agent.
The business was sold on behalf of Mr Hadley so he can take retirement. The new owners are experienced operators, Mr and Mrs Vas, who recently purchased the petrol station in Coltishall, and both Christie Finance and Christie + Co were involved in the purchase.
Nicholas Baker, from Christie Finance, commented; “After assisting Mr and Mrs Vas to acquire the funding to buy the petrol station in Coltishall, we were delighted to assist them again with the purchase of the Londis Store. We secured a great finance package for them and worked together with Christie + Co throughout. We wish Mr and Mrs Vas every success in the future.”
The Londis Store was sold for an undisclosed sum for the leasehold interest.
