Christie Finance assists couple to buy their first restaurant, the Vanilla Pod in Dollar
The Edinburgh office of independent mortgage brokers, Christie Finance, is delighted to have assisted a couple from Guernsey to buy their first restaurant.
Tim Cribben, an experienced chef from St Peter Port, and his wife Kim have opened the Vanilla Pod, a 40-cover bistro-restaurant located on the High Street in the town of Dollar, at the foot of the Ochil Hills, Clackmannanshire.
Situated at 24 Bridge Street, close to Dollar Academy, and formerly occupied by Sam’s Bistro, the premises were sold for an undisclosed freehold figure.
Adrian Foster, financial consultant from Christie Finance, comments: “Tim and Kim Cribben were keen to move to Scotland and run their own restaurant and we were delighted to help them achieve that dream. Despite having limited accounting information for the business, we were able to use our contacts, experience and expertise to secure the necessary finance to ensure a smooth transaction. We wish the Cribbens every success with their new business venture.”
Tim Cribben comments: “Adrian acted above and beyond the call of duty and worked extremely hard to get the transaction through, for which we are extremely grateful.”
