Christie Finance assists buyers of a Hampshire village freehouse and restaurant
Christie Finance, the independent business mortgage broker, is delighted to announce that its Winchester office has assisted a Hampshire couple with their purchase of The Cricketers freehouse and restaurant in the hamlet of Turgis Green, near Hook, Hampshire.
Located in Bottle Lane, just off the A33, midway between Basingstoke and Reading, The Cricketers dates from the early 19th Century and is a Grade II Listed property with full height bow windows, stucco walls and a slated roof. The detached property briefly comprises a bar and lounge, 40-cover restaurant, three-bedroom owner’s accommodation, trade garden and car park.
The new owners, Keith Gallocker and Julia Vanoostruum, are experienced licensed operators who previously owned Raffles Wine Bar and Restaurant in Frimley, Surrey.
Charlotte Burridge, financial consultant from Christie Finance,
comments:
“Running The Cricketers is an exciting new challenge for our
clients. I was delighted to assist them with raising
commercial finance for their purchase and wish them all the best
for their plans for the business.
Keith and Julia have carried out some necessary refurbishment on the premises and re-launched the business in September. They have appointed a highly reputable and capable chef and will be introducing a new menu offering good quality pub food.”
The Cricketers has been sold for an undisclosed freehold figure.
