An established care company purchases a care home in Scarborough, North Yorkshire
A care home in North Yorkshire has been sold after 11 years in the same ownership to Monami Care Ltd. The Leeds Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, handled the sale, and independent mortgage broker, Christie Finance, arranged the funding for the purchaser.
Ashurst is situated in the Westbourne Park area of Scarborough in a mix of private dwellings and tourist accommodation. The property is registered for 19 elderly residents in 13 single and three shared rooms and combines a semi-detached and a detached building, which have been linked together. There is one-bedroom accommodation located in the roof space, which could be used for either the staff or owners.
Jonathan Wickens, from Christie + Co’s Leeds Office, who handled the sale, commented; “Ashurst had been owned by Norma Jenkinson since 1996 and has now been sold to Monami Care Ltd, an established care company, which already owns a home in Blackpool. This sale shows that there continues to be a strong demand for good quality care businesses in the coastal towns.”
