Christie Finance assists first time pub buyer to secure the lease on the Tipsy Laird in Kingussie
Christie Finance, the independent business mortgage broker, is delighted to announce that its Edinburgh office has assisted Tony Joyce from Grantown-on-Spey to acquire his first public house, the Tipsy Laird bar, restaurant and bothy in the Highland town of Kingussie, Inverness-shire.
Mr Joyce, who comes from a retail background, has purchased a brand new lease on the Tipsy Laird from Punch Taverns, which purchased the freehold interest in the business from Lynne Donaldson and Ed Quinn through the Edinburgh office of leading international property agents, Christie + Co, in May 2007. Christie + Co was then instructed to immediately source a lessee for business on behalf of Punch Taverns, with their associate company Christie Finance available to assist potential buyers with their funding needs.
The Tipsy Laird has an excellent trading location in the High Street of Kingussie, a strategically important town which lies within the Cairngorm National Park and has become synonymous with the hit BBC TV series Monarch of the Glen.
The Tipsy Laird, at 69 High Street, is popular with local residents and tourists and comprises a bar, a 36-cover restaurant, three-bedroom owner’s accommodation and a three-storey bothy which sleeps 32.
