Christie Finance provides funding for a care home operator to extend his existing business
Christie Finance has provided funding for care home operator, Steven Bol, to develop his existing care business, Woodland Residential Home, which is situated in the small village of Morda, near Oswestry in Shropshire, close to the English and Welsh border.
The home is registered by CSCI for 20 elderly people, with one learning disability place and enjoys good levels of occupancy and has a good reputation. Having been owned by Mr Bol for the past 19 years, the registration has increased from the original 10 when an extension was added and internal work was undertaken. There are currently 20 single bedrooms, two linked lounges, a conservatory dining room and private accommodation is provided in a first floor flat.
Mark Moody, from the Birmingham Office of Christie Finance, who arranged the funding, commented; “Mr Bol wanted help from Christie Finance for development finance on his existing home to enable him to add a further 16 rooms with living accommodation. After discussing which options were available to him in the market, we placed the deal with his existing bank and took care of everything, allowing Mr Bol to concentrate on the planning of the extension.”
