Clevedon Court in Weston-super-Mare is sold to first-time buyers from Surrey
The Bristol Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, is delighted to announce that it has sold another care home in North Somerset; Clevedon Court in Weston-super-Mare, with Christie Finance arranging the finances for the purchasers.
The business had been owned by Mrs B. Glimstead since 1984 and she decided to sell so she can retire from the industry. The home occupies a substantial period built property, registered for 22, with 21 en suite single bedrooms, and provides care for elderly residents, whilst being run under full management.
After an active and national marketing campaign, the home was sold to first time buyers, Mr and Mrs Aravindhan, from Surrey.
Rob Kinsman, from Christie + Co’s Bristol Office, who handled the sale, commented; “We were delighted to secure a successful disposal of Clevedon Court on behalf of Mrs Glimstead, who has been involved in the business for more than 20 years. The market for all types of care homes continues to be extremely buoyant, from first time purchasers through to larger regional operators.”
Nick Lewis-Perrins, from Christie Finance, who arranged the finances for the purchasers, commented; “The buyers are a husband and wife team, who currently have various business interests, notably a children’s day nursery in Wimbledon. They have been actively seeking the right opportunity in the healthcare market and are delighted to acquire Clevedon Court, which is an established business in a great location. I am delighted for them both and wish them well for the future.”
Clevedon Court was sold for an undisclosed sum for the freehold interest.
