Barrington Lodge Care Home, Croydon

We helped Ruben and Ann Pavaday acquire the 44-bed Barrington Lodge Care Home by sourcing funding for 100% of purchase price using the equity in their existing care home, Beechwood House. Their bank was unable to assist, but we negotiated a more competitive interest rate than their existing loan with a new lender.

Green Lawns Hotel, Falmouth

The Green Lawns Hotel in Falmouth was bought by Mr and Mrs Rudlin with funding arranged by Christie Finance. Despite being first-time buyers (albeit with excellent CVs), we arranged a loan at 65% LTV at a margin of just 2.75% above the cost of funds. This shows that the banks are prepared to provide support, especially to buyers with good sector experience.

The Red Lion, Warmington, Cambridgeshire

To enable the tenants of The Red Lion at Warmington buy the pub from their landlord (a property investment company), we sourced funding for much of the purchase price, with the balance coming from a scheme which rewarded customers' contributions with discounts on food.

We secured the funding for the acquisition of the freehold interest of The Steamboat Tavern by experienced operator Valerie Bint, the leaseholder who has transformed the pub into a highly successful business, with an enviable reputation as a live music venue.
